What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between page loads, like that you've passed a security check or accepted a setting. Some come from us, and some come from the third-party services we use, like Google.

The Cookies and Trackers We Use

Here's what runs on this site, grouped by category.

Strictly necessary (always on)

• Cloudflare Turnstile, which verifies that form submissions come from a person and not a bot or spammer.
• Basic security and session cookies that keep the site working.

These are required for the site to function. They aren't used to track you, and you can't turn them off without breaking core features like our forms.

Analytics (off until you accept)

• Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*. We use it to measure how people find and use the site so we can improve it.

Advertising (off until you accept)

• Google Ads, which we use to measure ad performance and for remarketing when we run campaigns.

If we add other ad platforms later, for example an LLM ad-platform conversion pixel such as OpenAI ChatGPT Ads, which would set a first-party cookie named __oppref, we'll list it here and gate it behind the same consent banner.

Your Choices and Consent

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you click Accept in our cookie banner. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a privacy-preserving mode that doesn't store cookies or identify you, and no advertising cookies are set.

You can change your choice anytime using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, or through your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. For more on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.

Other Google Resources

We load Google Fonts and Google Maps from Google's servers. To deliver those resources, Google may receive your IP address. This happens so the fonts and maps can render, and it's covered by Google's own privacy terms.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it. You can use GPC instead of, or in addition to, our cookie banner.
