Who We Are
AUE Land (AUE Land | Stormwater & Site Services) is the brand name for stormwater and site services provided by AuSable Enterprises, LLC. AUE Land is a DBA registered in South Carolina. We serve property owners and businesses across coastal South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida.
This policy explains what we collect when you use our website at aueland.com, how we use it, and who we share it with. If you have questions, reach us at info@aueland.com or (843) 301-0172.
Information You Provide
You give us information directly when you choose to. Depending on which feature you use, that can include:
- Your name, email, phone number, property address, and message when you fill out our contact form or request a site assessment.
- Your email address if you ask the compliance checker to send you a report. Email is optional and is only used to deliver that report.
- Your email address when you sign up for our newsletter.
- Your email address when you log in to the client and team portal.
We only ask for what we need to answer your inquiry or deliver what you requested.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our site, some information is collected automatically:
- Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It can set cookies and collect usage, device, and approximate-location data (derived from your IP address).
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.
- Cloudflare Turnstile. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam and abuse. It may set its own token or cookie to verify you're a real visitor.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, advertising, and basic site function. Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them through our cookie banner. We manage this with Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept, Google Analytics runs in a privacy-preserving mode that doesn't store cookies or identify you, and no advertising cookies are set. For the full breakdown, see our Cookie Policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests
- Schedule and conduct site assessments
- Prepare proposals and service agreements
- Send our monthly newsletter, but only if you've opted in
- Measure site analytics so we can improve the website
- Protect the site against spam, abuse, and security threats
Service Providers We Share With
We work with a small set of trusted providers to run our site and serve you. Each one only gets the data it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles that data.
- Resend, email delivery for confirmations, reports, and newsletters.
- Turso, the database that stores portal users and our internal activity log.
- Cloudflare, Turnstile anti-spam and content delivery.
- Google Analytics, site analytics.
- Google Ads, advertising and remarketing when we're running campaigns.
- Google Fonts and Google Maps, for page display, including the map embedded on our site.
- Render, hosting for our website and applications.
We do not sell your personal information.
Email Communications and Unsubscribe
If you opt in to our newsletter or other marketing email, every message includes our postal address and a one-click unsubscribe link, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. You can opt out at any time, and we'll honor the request promptly. Transactional email you asked for, like a compliance report you requested, isn't marketing and is sent so we can fulfill your request.
Text Messages (SMS)
If we ever text you, it's only with your consent. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Today we use SMS internally to alert our own team about new inquiries, not to message visitors.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@aueland.com or call (843) 301-0172 and we'll take care of it.
We honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sharing for advertising.
California residents. We're a small South Carolina business and generally fall below the thresholds that trigger the CCPA and CPRA. Even so, we honor access and deletion requests from anyone who asks, regardless of where you live.
Data Retention
We keep your information as long as we need it to handle your inquiry or maintain our working relationship, plus a reasonable period for our records. When you ask us to remove your information, we will.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you provide. Our site uses TLS encryption to protect data in transit. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our site is for property owners and businesses. It isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our site may link to other websites we don't operate. We're not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date.
