Stormwater & Site Services

We don't broker your stormwater problem. We show up with the equipment and fix it. From assessment to compliance to dredging to drainage, one crew executes the whole scope.

One contractor. Seven services. No subcontracting the hard parts.

Most stormwater firms do one thing. Inspection firms write reports but hand the repairs to someone else. Excavation crews move dirt but won't touch compliance paperwork. Dredging specialists won't maintain a pond the rest of the year. You end up managing four vendors for one pond.

AUE Land is built the opposite way. We carry the equipment, we do the inspections, we write the documentation, we perform the repairs, and we run the annual maintenance. When a property has a stormwater problem, the goal is to fix it once, with one team, on one contract. That's the structural advantage, and it shows up in faster timelines, cleaner accountability, and a compliance record that actually matches the field conditions.

Below is the full service line. If you already know what you need, pick it directly. If you're not sure, start with the symptom router or a site assessment.

The full service line.

Every service below is executed by the AUE Land crew with our own equipment. No middlemen, no subcontracted mystery vendors.

Stormwater Management & BMP Maintenance

Inspection, maintenance, and repair of retention ponds, detention basins, bioretention systems, sand filters, and underground facilities.

Best fit

Properties with existing BMPs that need ongoing care, annual inspections, and scheduled maintenance to stay compliant.

Service details

Stormwater Compliance & BMP Inspections

BMP inspections, compliance documentation, and the physical repairs to back the paperwork up. One contractor, one chain of custody.

Best fit

Property managers and HOAs facing an inspection deadline, violation notice, or annual reporting requirement.

Service details

Pond Dredging

Mechanical and hydraulic dredging for stormwater ponds, detention basins, and lakes. Restore capacity, meet compliance, clear sediment.

Best fit

Ponds that have lost 25% or more of their designed storage capacity to sediment buildup.

Service details

Storm Drainage Systems

Pipe installation and repair, catch basin repair, outfall repair, hydro-vac cleaning, and CCTV inspection of underground drainage.

Best fit

Properties with flooding, ponding, or visible drainage failures on parking lots, streets, or common areas.

Service details

Erosion Control & Stabilization

Shoreline repair, slope stabilization, riprap installation, and native plantings to stop active erosion and prevent failure.

Best fit

Pond banks that are actively eroding, slopes threatening adjacent infrastructure, or shorelines losing material every storm.

Service details

Grading & Earthwork

Site grading, ditch shaping, swale rebuilding, and drainage correction. Move water off the property the way the plans intended.

Best fit

Sites with poor surface drainage, standing water, or grading that has settled out of spec over time.

Service details

Emergency Stormwater Repair

Washout response, slope failure stabilization, outfall collapse, and post-storm damage repair. Our crew, our equipment, fast mobilization.

Best fit

Acute failures after a storm event: washouts, slope collapse, blown-out outfalls, imminent safety or property damage.

Compliance vs. Management

Compliance is the paperwork side: inspections, documentation, and reports submitted to regulators. Management is the physical side: cleaning the inlets, repairing the spillway, cutting back vegetation, removing sediment. Most properties need both, and we provide them on one contract so the field work and the documentation actually line up.

Dredging vs. Erosion Control

If sediment is filling the pond from inside, you need dredging. If material is falling into the pond from the banks or slopes around it, you need erosion control. Most older ponds need both, and the sequencing matters. Dredge first, then stabilize, or you'll be dredging the new material you just let erode in.

Drainage vs. Grading

Drainage is the underground system: pipes, catch basins, outfalls. Grading is the surface: swales, ditches, slopes, and grades that move water across the property. If the pipe is broken, that's drainage. If the surface doesn't direct water to the pipe in the first place, that's grading. Many properties have problems in both layers.

Emergency vs. Planned Repair

If the failure is threatening property, safety, or compliance in the next few days, call emergency repair. If it can be scheduled for next month on a planned maintenance visit, it's regular drainage or BMP work. The cost difference is real. Emergency mobilization is more expensive than scheduled work, which is why annual maintenance catches problems before they escalate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between stormwater management and stormwater compliance? expand_more
Stormwater management is the ongoing work of inspecting, maintaining, and repairing BMPs so they function as designed. Stormwater compliance is the regulatory side: inspections, documentation, and reporting to satisfy SCDES, GA EPD, NC DEQ, FL DEP, or local authorities. Most properties need both. AUE Land provides them together, which is rare. Most inspection firms don't do the physical work, and most contractors don't do the paperwork.
Do I need pond dredging or erosion control? expand_more
Dredging removes sediment that has accumulated on the pond bottom and reduces storage capacity. Erosion control addresses material washing off the banks, slopes, or shoreline into the pond or downstream. They solve different problems, and neglected ponds often need both. We assess on site and recommend the scope that fixes the actual cause, not just the visible symptom.
Is emergency repair the same as storm drainage repair? expand_more
Emergency repair is acute response: a pipe blew out, a slope collapsed, an outfall failed, or flooding is threatening property. We mobilize fast, stabilize the situation, and perform interim or permanent repairs. Storm drainage repair is planned work on an underground system: pipe replacement, catch basin repair, hydro-vac cleaning. If the problem can wait a week, it's drainage repair. If it can't, it's emergency.
Can AUE Land handle all of this as one contract? expand_more
Yes. A single annual maintenance agreement can cover inspections, routine BMP maintenance, sediment monitoring, bank repair, drainage cleaning, and compliance reporting. One contractor, one crew, one point of contact. That's the structural advantage over hiring separate firms for inspection, maintenance, and repair.
Where does AUE Land work? expand_more
Coastal South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and northeast Florida. Based in Bluffton, SC. Primary counties include Beaufort, Jasper, Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley, Georgetown, Horry, Chatham, Bryan, Glynn, New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns. If you're on the coast between Myrtle Beach and Jacksonville, we can get there.
How do I know which service I need? expand_more
Request a site assessment. We'll walk the property, evaluate the stormwater infrastructure, and tell you what's actually wrong. The assessment produces a written scope with recommended services. There's no obligation to hire AUE Land for the work, but almost everyone does because we're the ones who can actually execute it.
